Isn’t it more important to know how to do the problem than to know what the answers are?

So, I will not tell you the answers, but show you how to do the problem.

Intercepts: x-values that make y = 0, and y-values that make x = 0.

So: x-intercept means let y = 0
0 = x(x+4) solve for x
y - intercept means let x = 0
y = 0(0+4)

Same process for second problem:
x-intercept means let y = 0
0 = x^2 - 2x - 8
You will need to factor or use the quadratic formula for this.
